Gateway Enviroservices was originally founded by Steven Devito, Jr. in Salem, NH, in order to operate a waste recycling facility serving eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.  Mr. Devito steadily and consistently grew the operation over the years to become one of the leading waste recycling companies in New England.

Axiom was originally engaged to structure and raise expansion capital to acquire the company’s closest competitor, Environmental Resource Return Corp. (ERRCO), based in Epping, NH.  Axiom negotiated the transaction and arranged the capital through Gemini Investors of Wellesley, MA and Newstar Financial of Boston, MA. 

Subsequent to the ERRCO acquisition, the company’s ownership decided to “take some chips off the table” through a Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).  Axiom was again chosen to “quarterback” the process, integrating the efforts of the company’s attorneys, accountants, and bankers in order to bring the project to fruition.
